About the role

Faststream is seeking an experienced HSSEQ Incident Investigation Manager to support an inland shipping operation based in Duisburg, Germany. The role focuses on incident investigation, root cause analysis, operational safety and the continued development of the Safety Management System. Responsibilities include investigating incidents, accidents and near misses, developing corrective and preventative actions, translating lessons learned into fleet-wide guidance, reviewing industry incidents, contributing to risk assessments and operational safety initiatives, and working closely with vessel crews and shore-based departments. The ideal candidate has several years of experience in HSSEQ, marine safety, incident investigation or accident prevention, preferably within inland or tanker shipping, and brings strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills. German and English at approximately B2 level or above are required, with Dutch considered an advantage. Existing right to work in Germany is required.
