Established shipping organisation in Germany seeks an experienced HSSEQ Incident Investigation Manager to support an inland shipping operation based in Duisburg. The role focuses on incident investigation, root cause analysis, operational safety, and development of the Safety Management System. Responsibilities include leading investigations into incidents, accidents and near misses; developing corrective and preventative actions; translating lessons learned into procedures and training; reviewing industry incidents; supporting risk assessments and operational safety initiatives; and contributing to projects covering cargo operations, terminal interfaces, navigation and vessel safety. The position requires several years of HSSEQ, marine safety, incident investigation or accident prevention experience, ideally from inland or tanker shipping, plus strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills. German and English at approximately B2 level or above are required, with Dutch considered an advantage. Existing right to work in Germany is required.
