About the role
Permanent First Officer role on a cruise vessel operating worldwide. The position involves planning and executing voyages, safe navigation to the next port of call, and maintaining navigational and safety publications, charts, flags, rules, and regulations. Responsibilities include watchkeeping, supporting the Chief Officer with navigation, maintenance, safety, crew training, and operational duties; managing bridge equipment, navigational records, GMDSS systems, and maintenance schedules; supporting and supervising tender, Zodiac, RIB, rescue boat, and SAR operations; acting as Safety Training Officer; and overseeing maintenance and inspections of LSA, small craft, dive equipment, tanks, and deck-related assets. Candidates should hold qualifications and licenses in accordance with international and national conventions and regulations. Preferably a Master’s license or STCW II/2 license, with at least a Chief Officer STCW II/2 license. Experience on passenger vessels is preferred. Polar code knowledge and fluent written and spoken English are required.
