About the role
UTM Consultants are looking for a Trenching Equipment Supervisor in the United States. The role involves overseeing the operation, maintenance, and optimization of trenching equipment, specifically the Cable Burial Tool (CBT), on offshore vessels. Responsibilities include leading CBT operators, riggers, and assisting engineers during cable burial operations; supporting mobilization and demobilization of project equipment; reviewing project documentation; ensuring operations follow task plans, procedures, and safety regulations; conducting JSAs, toolbox talks, and safety briefings; liaising with the OIM, Field Engineers, Chief Engineer, and Trenching Experts; assisting with preventive maintenance, overhaul, and optimization of the CBT; managing spare parts and consumables; and supporting training, mentoring, and onboarding of CBT operators and crew members. The position requires a strong technical background, offshore trenching or ROV experience, leadership skills, and the ability to work in demanding offshore environments. Contract role with a start date of 29th September 2026 and duration of 8 weeks.
