About the role
RWE Offshore Wind Netherlands B.V. is seeking an experienced and motivated SOV Manager to lead the operation of the OranjeWind Offshore Wind Farm, located 85 kilometres off the coast of Den Helder. The role is responsible for the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted daily operation of the Service Operations Vessel (SOV) and for coordinating between RWE, Vestas, and the vessel crew to ensure offshore activities are carried out safely and effectively. The position reports to the Production Manager and follows a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation. The role includes leading and coordinating RWE personnel onboard, ensuring compliance with HSE requirements, supporting contract management, improving offshore logistics and operational interfaces, and leading emergency response and crisis-management activities when required. The project is a 795 MW offshore wind farm with Vestas V236-15 MW turbines expected to enter operation in April 2027.
