About the role

An opportunity is available for an experienced marine insurance professional to lead the development, launch and commercial growth of a new risk intelligence solution for the global marine insurance market. This strategic leadership role combines marine insurance expertise, product development and commercial strategy, with responsibility for shaping a new offering from development through launch in collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams. The role is based in London, with hybrid working and potential flexibility depending on the candidate and office location. The position offers a salary of £130,000–£155,000 plus comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities include defining the product roadmap, leading go-to-market planning, managing product positioning, pricing and packaging, building relationships with senior stakeholders across marine insurers, underwriters, P&I clubs, brokers and reinsurers, and leading customer discovery and design partnerships. The role also involves shaping marine risk intelligence capabilities, establishing evidence-based risk assessment methodologies, developing strategic partnerships, coordinating product, engineering, data, sales and marketing teams, and driving customer acquisition and market growth. The ideal candidate will have senior commercial experience within marine insurance, maritime risk intelligence, insurance technology or a relevant B2B data or SaaS business. Strong technical understanding of marine insurance, knowledge of Lloyd's and company markets, underwriting practices, portfolio exposure and risk accumulation, and an established network of senior industry contacts are important. Experience translating customer requirements into product strategy and launching data-led products is advantageous.
