About the role
Civil Engineer required for a major renewables developer based in Germany. The role involves supporting the design, engineering, and delivery of civil works for offshore wind and energy island infrastructure projects; reviewing and coordinating civil and structural designs for onshore substations, converter stations, cable landfalls, and related facilities; managing geotechnical, topographical, and site investigation activities; coordinating interfaces between civil, electrical, mechanical, and marine engineering disciplines; reviewing contractor designs and technical documentation; monitoring construction activities and providing technical support during execution; supporting technical specifications, scopes of work, tender documentation, and contractor evaluation; participating in design reviews, HAZIDs, constructability assessments, and risk management workshops; ensuring compliance with local regulations, environmental requirements, and industry standards; managing technical queries, non-conformances, and design changes; liaising with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities; preparing engineering reports, progress updates, and technical presentations; and supporting commissioning and handover activities related to civil infrastructure assets. Requirements include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, at least 5 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure, power transmission, offshore wind, renewable energy, or industrial construction projects, experience with substations, converter stations, cable infrastructure, marine structures, or offshore energy developments, strong knowledge of civil and structural design principles, geotechnical engineering, drainage, foundations, and earthworks, EU nationality, and fluency in English and Danish.
