About the role
RWE Americas is hiring a Senior Engineer II, Electrical Projects to oversee electrical systems design for onshore wind, solar, and storage projects from development through handover to operations. Responsibilities include balance of plant design, project engineering support during pre-construction, construction, and turnover, grid code compliance, major electrical equipment specification and evaluation, power system modeling and studies, consultant management, and support for NERC compliance documents and studies. The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, at least 8 years of professional electrical engineering experience, and experience in transmission, substation, collection and distribution design, equipment specification, power system studies, and protection and control. Renewable generation project design experience is preferred.
