Senior Engineer II, Electrical Projects at RWE Americas. Office-based role with some travel and visits to RWE Americas offices and field locations. Responsibilities include overseeing electrical systems design for onshore wind, solar, and storage projects from development through handover to operations; design of balance of plant packages; engineering support during pre-construction, construction, and turnover; grid code compliance and interconnection; major equipment specification and evaluation; power system modeling and studies; coordination of project engineering topics; management of third-party engineering consultants; support for NERC compliance documents and studies; incorporation of health, safety, and environmental protection into designs and standards; and support for electrical engineering standards, processes, and procedures. Requirements include a BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, 8+ years of post-undergraduate electrical engineering experience, and experience in transmission, substation, collection and distribution design, equipment specification, power system studies, and system protection and control. Renewable generation project design experience is preferred.
