About the role
Port worker needed for bulk cargo operations in the Vlissingen area. The role involves loading and unloading ships, trucks, and trains, handling various cargo types including woodpulp, timber, steel, metal, containers, and project cargo, and assisting with hooking and unhooking loads. Work is partly on board ships and partly at the terminal. The position offers a one-year contract with the prospect of a permanent role, a gross monthly salary of €2,700 to €3,896 depending on experience, weekend and overtime allowances, travel reimbursement, onboarding, and opportunities to obtain additional certificates and progress into other harbor roles. Requirements include a VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one, willingness to work 2 shifts, weekend availability about once a month, good Dutch, own transport, and a safe, hands-on attitude.
