About the role
TEXO Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician for a 3-4 month workshop-based scope in Dyce, Aberdeen. The role involves rebuild, maintenance, inspection, diagnostics, repairs, and commissioning of cementing and oilfield equipment. Responsibilities include working on diesel engines, transmissions, triplex and centrifugal pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, drivetrain systems, gearboxes, PTOs, generators, and chemical metering systems, as well as troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems. Functional testing after maintenance and rebuild activities is also required. Requirements include time-served status, 5 years' experience in mechanical maintenance, oilfield equipment or a similar environment, experience with diesel engines, pumps and hydraulic systems, and desirable experience with oilfield or cementing equipment, a forklift licence, rigging and lifting experience, diagnostic software such as Cat ET, and knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
