About the role
Power Control Specialist required for a major offshore wind farm developer based in the United Kingdom. Responsibilities include real-time monitoring and control of generation and transmission assets, SCADA alarm handling and escalation, HV control activities up to 66kV, coordination with TSO, DNO, OFTO and O&M stakeholders, supporting safe switching, outages and maintenance activities, and REMIT operational notification. Requirements include real-time SCADA operational experience, an electrical/power generation/transmission/utilities background, Power Control Room experience preferred, HV Control Engineer experience advantageous, AP/SAP experience advantageous, knowledge of WTG/power park control, experience with alarms, outages and operational incidents, strong understanding of electrical safety and operational procedures, excellent communication skills and fluent English, and an electrical qualification such as City & Guilds, ONC, HNC or Degree.
