About the role

Opportunity to join a global leading renewable energy company in Romania as Project Development Manager. Location: Bucharest (office-based, with flexibility to work 1-2 days from home). Role includes identifying prospective projects with suitable resource across solar, BESS, and wind, electric transmission access, and site characteristics; creating and managing project development budgets and estimates; establishing and managing relationships with stakeholders such as elected officials, regulators, and utilities; negotiating and managing developer contracts; working with internal Legal, Engineering, Project Finance, and EPC teams; obtaining land surface rights to design, permit, construct, operate, and maintain solar power projects; managing state, federal, and regional permitting of solar facilities; participating in interconnection agreement negotiations; managing environmental studies; overseeing proposals submitted to utilities; supporting financial analysis and project modeling; producing regular pipeline and project status updates and other reporting documents; researching energy market and competition; and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in Business, Laws, Engineering, or a related field, with a master's degree preferred; strong project development experience in the green energy industry; team player with effective communication skills; proactive, hands-on, and driven; previous experience in a multi-cultural environment preferred; English fluency required; native in Romanian; and willingness to travel.
