Mechanical Engineer - Substation Facilities at RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. Full-time, permanent role within the Electrical Components Team supporting offshore wind projects through development, construction and operation. The position focuses on offshore substation facilities, auxiliary and low-voltage systems, including design of building fabric, drainage, cable and pipework systems, fire detection and protection, HVAC, small power and lighting, batteries and UPS systems. Responsibilities include preparing technical specifications and documentation, managing technical queries, supporting procurement and project management, coordinating mechanical and electrical works at fabrication and construction sites, managing interfaces with related project packages, leading supplier prequalification, conducting factory audits, and performing root cause analyses. Requires an engineering degree or equivalent, several years of relevant offshore substation experience, strong technical and project experience, fluent English, and willingness to travel nationally and internationally. National Security vetting to SC level may be required.
