About the role

Senior Electrical Engineer for a major offshore wind project in Germany. Responsibilities include conceptual, FEED and detailed electrical design and analysis in accordance with project specifications, codes and standards; preparation and review of electrical specifications, datasheets, load lists, single-line diagrams, schematics, layouts and bills of material; electrical calculations and studies including cable sizing and relay coordination; leadership and coordination of electrical engineers and designers; multidisciplinary coordination; management of technical changes, costs, schedules, quantities and budgets; procurement and requisition packages for substations, transformers and electrical materials; supplier document review and equipment inspections; support for FAT and SAT; technical support to construction and resolution of site issues; and support for pre-commissioning, energization, commissioning and start-up. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, at least 12 years of electrical engineering experience, experience with electrical load lists and power-system calculations, and experience with generators, transformers, MV/LV switchgear, motor control centres, UPS/DC systems and variable-frequency drives. Experience with ABS-classed offshore facilities and IEC 61892/IEC 60092, along with knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE and ANSI, is required. Intermediate proficiency in SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL), ETAP and Microsoft Office is also required. Professional Engineer registration is preferred.
