About the role
The O&M Manager is responsible for the safe, reliable, and compliant operation and maintenance of renewable energy generation projects. The role oversees plant personnel and the daily administration, operation, planned and corrective maintenance, and event response for assigned assets. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with industry best practices, safety standards, company and owner procedures, and applicable state and federal laws and regulations, including NERC compliance when applicable. Key responsibilities include overseeing plant operations, ensuring plants operate within design parameters, monitoring production, coordinating operational issues, managing maintenance and repairs, performing preventive and predictive maintenance, preparing and controlling plant operating budgets, supporting staff training, reviewing operational reports, supporting technical and operational analysis, staying current with regulations and standards, developing supplier relationships, and serving as a local company and owner liaison. Requirements include a preferred 2-year or 4-year degree in Business or a technical hard science, at least 5 years of relevant operations and maintenance experience with 2 years in renewables plant management, 2 years in a lead or supervisor role, and 2 years managing facilities and personnel. Additional qualifications include understanding of substation equipment, NERC, plant operations, environmental rules, OSHA and environmental regulations, energy markets, CAISO, CPUC, PG&E, California employment labor laws, and SCADA/DAS/CMMS systems. Experience with solar and battery energy plant equipment, power electronics, leadership, customer relationships, maintenance management platforms, and Microsoft Office and Teams is also required. An unrestricted driver's license is required.
