About the role

Foundation Installation Supervisor for a contract role on a major offshore wind project in Japan. The position involves supervising offshore foundation installation activities and ensuring work is delivered safely and in line with project specifications, approved procedures, installation plans and programme milestones. Responsibilities include overseeing contractor and subcontractor performance during lifting, positioning, installation, grouting, bolting, inspection and completion activities; monitoring daily progress; supporting method statements, risk assessments, ITPs, lifting plans, installation procedures and permit-to-work requirements; coordinating with vessel crews, marine coordination, offshore construction teams and project stakeholders; ensuring compliance with technical standards, quality requirements and HSE expectations; supporting inspections, walkdowns, punch lists, non-conformance reporting and handover documentation; identifying site-based issues relating to lifting, interfaces, access, weather windows, seabed conditions, vessel operations or installation methodology; and maintaining accurate reports and installation records. The role requires proven offshore foundation installation experience, with experience in offshore wind, marine construction, heavy lift, subsea, oil and gas, ports or major energy infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of foundation installation methods, lifting operations, vessel interfaces, offshore construction sequencing, HSE standards, permit-to-work systems, RAMS, ITPs, lifting operations and offshore construction procedures is required. Japanese language skills would be beneficial but are not essential.
