Operationeel Medewerker Bulk for a large bulk terminal on the Maasvlakte in Rotterdam. The role involves working aboard seagoing vessels and assisting with unloading bulk cargo such as iron ore and coal. Duties include collecting remaining bulk goods in ship holds, moving bulk goods with smaller shovels on board, and helping ensure a safe and smooth unloading process. The position offers internal training and opportunities to grow into other functions, including boatman and shore-based machine operations. Requirements include mbo level, experience with machines such as shovels or earthmoving equipment, physical fitness, ability to work safely, willingness to work a continuous five-shift schedule, willingness to learn and develop, obtaining a VCH certificate within one month after probation, providing a VOG before start, good Dutch, and use of arranged collective transport. The contract offers a long-term opportunity, an hourly wage of €21.42 to €22.09 excluding allowances, shift and dirty work allowances, average 33.6 hours per week, 21 vacation days, 8% holiday pay, and extra compensation for overtime and certain machine work.
