About the role
HSE Supervisor for a major industrial project in Wesseling, Germany. The role is suited to an experienced health and safety professional with a background in petrochemical, oil, or gas environments. It is a full-time, on-site contract position for 6 months or more, with potential for extension. Responsibilities include overseeing HSE controls, supporting HSE targets, providing guidance on construction and contractor safety, ensuring adherence to safety programmes, evaluating contractor HSE competencies, conducting site inspections and incident investigations, delivering HSE training and toolbox talks, and supporting emergency response. Requirements include a recognised German Occupational Health and Safety qualification, experience in petrochemical, oil, or gas projects, knowledge of HSE codes and documentation, leadership skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and fluency in German and English.
