Chief Engineer required for a self-discharging bulk carrier. Contract duration is 3 months with a 3 months on / 3 months off rotation. Salary is 11,500 USD per month. Joining is expected in approximately 6 weeks. The vessel is 40,458 GRT, built in 1989, with a Sulzer 7RTA62 main engine and 11,914 HP power. The position is based in Uruguay, with the shipowner in Singapore. Requirements include previous experience as Chief Engineer on self-discharging bulk carriers, good knowledge of conveyor systems and their operating principles, a strong technical background, relevant sea service, transshipment experience as an advantage, valid STCW documents, valid CoC, valid medical certificate, and good English.
