About the role

Senior Grid Manager – Execution role within a leading international renewable energy company, supporting the German engineering and project delivery team. Responsible for delivering grid connections across utility-scale renewable energy projects, with focus on projects moving from development into construction and commissioning. Responsibilities include grid connection activities during execution and construction, delivery of electrical infrastructure including substations, transformers, switchgear, cabling and balance-of-plant systems, coordination of electrical engineering and technical design reviews, management of external engineering partners, EPC contractors, OEMs and electrical suppliers, interface management with DSOs and TSOs, coordination of grid compliance, testing, commissioning and energisation, management of technical interfaces between generation or storage assets and grid infrastructure, risk identification and resolution, support for procurement and technical evaluation of electrical packages, and ensuring compliance with German grid codes, technical standards and contractual requirements. The role requires strong experience in grid connection and electrical infrastructure for utility-scale energy projects, a track record delivering projects through construction, commissioning and energisation, strong understanding of HV electrical infrastructure and substations, experience with onshore wind, solar PV and/or BESS projects, knowledge of German grid connection requirements and DSO/TSO processes, and an electrical engineering or comparable technical background. Fluent German and English required.
