Electrical Supervisor – Offshore Wind – Japan. TGRC is supporting the delivery of a major offshore wind project in Japan and is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor on a contract basis. The role covers supervision of electrical installation, testing and pre-commissioning activities, with responsibility for ensuring work is delivered safely, correctly and in line with project specifications, quality requirements, approved procedures and programme milestones. The position involves close collaboration with construction, commissioning, engineering, QA/QC, HSE, contractors, OEMs and project management teams. Key duties include supervising electrical construction activities, overseeing contractor and subcontractor performance, monitoring progress, reviewing method statements and risk assessments, supporting work on cables, substations, WTGs, switchgear, transformers and energisation preparation, coordinating resolution of site electrical issues, maintaining records, and promoting a strong safety culture. Requirements include proven experience in a similar electrical supervisory role on offshore wind, renewables, grid, substation, power generation, marine construction or major infrastructure projects, along with knowledge of electrical safety, permit-to-work systems, lockout/tagout, RAMS, ITPs and inspection processes. Experience in Japan or the wider APAC offshore wind market would be advantageous.
