About the role

WTG Commissioning Engineer – Pre Assembly for a major offshore wind developer in Denmark. The role involves supporting commissioning activities as the client’s engineer, driving on-site commissioning scope to align with the project programme and milestones, providing formal sign-off for Stage 1 commissioning of offshore wind turbines, supporting pre-commissioning and commissioning phases, coordinating and executing commissioning activities, overseeing and verifying pre-commissioning work from the pre-assembly yard prior to offshore installation, investigating technical incidents and non-conformities, verifying testing of alarms, controls, and indications across substation equipment and SCADA systems, and overseeing commissioning of LV/MV/HV switchgear and associated components in compliance with HV safety rules and project procedures. The schedule is 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, typically on a 14/14 rotation. Requirements include relevant technical education, certification in accordance with VDE 0105-100 as Switching Operator or eligibility to obtain it, GWO Basic Safety Training, GWO Enhanced First Aid, HUET, valid offshore medical fitness, preferably 66kV 8VM3 switchgear user training, experience as an Electrical Commissioning Engineer within MV/HV assets, knowledge of alarms, controls, SCADA systems, commissioning of LV/MV/HV switchgear and protection systems, and working knowledge of protection relays, IEC 61850, GOOSE communications, and Building Management Systems.
