About the role
Fabrication & Welding Quality Inspector role in Padeswood, Flintshire, Wales. This long-term contract supports fabrication and construction of Pre-Assembled Racks (PARs) at a fabrication facility and later on site in Padeswood. Responsibilities include inspections and surveillance during fabrication and welding, verification of WPS compliance and qualifications, review of joint preparation and welding parameters, dimensional checks, material traceability, fabrication documentation, oversight of NDT activities, final inspection of PAR modules, and monitoring installation, field welding, hook-up, and pressure testing during the site phase. Requirements include CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certification (3.2 preferred), PCN Level 2 qualifications in RT, UT, MT, and PT, experience in welding inspection within heavy industrial, oil and gas, petrochemical, or power projects, knowledge of NDT methods, pressure testing, and fabrication documentation, and a valid CSCS card. Nice-to-have skills include NACE CIP Level 2 or ICorr Level 2 coating inspection certification and experience in coating and insulation inspection.
