About the role

Senior Energy Resource and Performance Engineer for a leading utility-scale renewable energy developer. The role supports project development, financing, and technical decision-making through solar resource assessment, energy yield analysis, and performance modeling. Responsibilities include leading energy yield assessments for utility-scale solar projects, developing 12x24 and 8760 production profiles, performing statistical analysis of resource and performance data, evaluating technical assumptions and uncertainty factors, analyzing performance impacts from module selection, GCR, bifacial design, and other inputs, interpreting MET station and public resource datasets, conducting measured-versus-modeled performance evaluations and technical investigations, reviewing third-party energy assessments and technical studies, collaborating with Development, Finance, and Engineering teams, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting EPC commissioning and acceptance testing as required. Requirements include 6–10 years of relevant experience, a degree in Engineering, Meteorology, Physics, or a related discipline, advanced PVsyst experience, experience with Vaisala, SolarGIS, and/or SolarAnywhere datasets, strong understanding of utility-scale solar project design and uncertainty methodologies, QA/QC experience on resource data and energy models, proven ability to evaluate measured versus modeled plant performance, advanced Excel skills, Python preferred, and familiarity with SAM, Power BI, or similar tools.
