About the role
A well-capitalised European renewable energy platform backed by a leading global institutional investor is seeking an M&A Manager to support the continued expansion of its renewable energy portfolio across Europe. The business is developing a multi-GW portfolio across solar PV, onshore wind, BESS and hybrid projects, offering the opportunity to join a lean investment team with direct exposure to senior management and wider development, finance, legal and technical functions. The role covers origination, evaluation and execution of renewable energy transactions across acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures and selected disposals. Responsibilities include financial modelling, valuation, investment returns analysis, due diligence coordination, preparation of investment papers and presentations, commercial negotiations, transaction documentation review, and support for strategic partnerships and portfolio optimisation initiatives. Candidate requirements include 5–8 years' relevant experience in renewable energy investment, infrastructure investment, M&A advisory, investment banking, corporate M&A, project finance or transaction advisory, along with strong modelling, valuation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Experience with solar, onshore wind and/or battery storage investments, project debt financing, PPAs, merchant exposure, CfDs, capacity markets and battery revenue models is preferred.
