About the role

RWE Offshore Wind GmbH is seeking an intern or working student to join the Central Offshore Wind Operations team. The role focuses on improving material data across offshore sites by combining AI, data analysis, and operational insights to support maintenance and materials management processes. Responsibilities include analyzing operational challenges, developing requirements, prototypes, tests, and practical solutions; maintaining and improving digital tools for Materials Management and Works Management processes; supporting standardization and automation across offshore sites; collaborating with site teams, process owners, and digital experts; creating data checks and worklists to identify missing, inconsistent, duplicate, or obsolete information; and managing a central inbox by reviewing requests, structuring information, tracking progress, and routing cases efficiently. Applicants should be currently enrolled in a university degree programme and have strong analytical and conceptual skills, a responsible approach to AI tools, confidence with technical information and structured data, a practical solution-oriented mindset, and good written and spoken English and German. Additional desirable experience includes data science, engineering, business informatics, industrial or maintenance environments, software development, structured data, Python, SQL, Git, SAP, or workflow automation, plus willingness to travel occasionally. The role offers insight into offshore wind operations, ownership of improvements with operational impact, flexible working arrangements, support from experienced professionals, and the opportunity to complete a thesis if mutually agreed.
