A leading renewable energy joint venture is seeking a Senior Investment Associate to join the Finance Team in Tokyo. Key responsibilities include building, updating, and maintaining complex financial and project models to assess business cases and optimize bidding strategies for offshore wind auctions; performing competitor, sensitivity, and risk analyses to maximize commercial returns and ensure project bankability; preparing presentations and investment recommendations for the SteerCo Board, shareholders, and corporate finance teams in Europe; and partnering with Project Development, Engineering, and Procurement teams to optimize value drivers and manage financial risks throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements include native Japanese or candidates living in Japan only, professional fluency in Japanese and English, strong financial modelling experience and financial investment appraisal techniques, and a strong background in corporate finance, project finance, or investment banking within infrastructure, energy, or utilities sectors.
