About the role

TGRC is seeking an experienced SCADA / Controls Technician to support upcoming onshore wind project activity in South Korea. This contract role suits a technically strong wind, controls, automation or electrical technician with experience in turbine control systems, SCADA platforms, communications networks, alarm management, troubleshooting and operational performance across renewable energy or power generation assets. The role involves installation, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of turbine control and monitoring systems, supporting commissioning, handover, service and operational phases, and working with commissioning teams, service technicians, electrical technicians, OEM support, site management and remote operations teams. Responsibilities include SCADA and controls support, electrical and communication systems support, troubleshooting and operational support, documentation and reporting, and adherence to health, safety and quality requirements. Previous experience in SCADA, controls, automation, electrical or wind turbine roles with strong controls experience is required, along with knowledge of SCADA systems, PLCs, communication networks and alarm management. GWO Basic Safety Training, First Aid and other safety or electrical training would be advantageous. Contract details, project duration, rotation and mobilisation date are to be confirmed, and the rate is competitive depending on experience, availability and project requirements.
