About the role

HVDC Cable Engineer required for a major Offshore Wind Farm developer based in Germany. Responsibilities include technical assessment and development of HVDC cable system concepts, review of engineering, manufacturing, installation and test documentation, assessment of design and supplier changes, evaluation of system stresses and qualification requirements, development and review of qualification and verification concepts, technical coordination across project teams, and supplier and quality audits. Requirements include a degree in electrical engineering, power engineering or a comparable technical discipline, English at C1 level, unrestricted authorisation to work within the European Union, at least five years of relevant professional experience with high- or extra-high-voltage cable systems, strong experience with HVDC cable systems and accessories, proven ability to assess cable designs and changes, experience with technical specifications and test documentation, practical exposure to FAT, SAT, PQ or comparable testing and acceptance processes, and experience coordinating with manufacturers, contractors and EPC contractors in an international project environment.
