About the role
Control Engineer required for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer based in Poland. Responsibilities include coordinating LV/MV/HV operations; advising on high-voltage electrical installations to WTG, offshore substations, and HV submarine and onshore cables; overseeing MV/HV/LV electrical operational activities to ensure safety, security, and integrity of the HV network; planning switching activities on offshore and onshore sites; monitoring and reporting in the SCADA system; maintaining site activity logs; controlling safety documents and electrical safety rules; managing HV and LV electrical operations; defining safety procedures; overseeing safe commissioning of grid connections, onshore substations, and associated MV/HV/LV plant and equipment; ensuring code compliance and ISO requirements; reviewing high-voltage scope of work; developing documentation and processes; coordinating MV/HV/LV commissioning through construction stages; coordinating with National Grid and attending commissioning panel meetings; preparing and checking high-voltage switching schedules; checking method statements; implementing training programs; providing technical advice; participating in safety coordination; and supporting outage management, network control, commissioning, and start-up activities. Requirements include several years of operation and commissioning experience in high-voltage electricity, with offshore experience preferable; an appropriate electrical qualification and background; minimum 3 years of experience with onshore substation systems; and current GWO courses and HUET with CA-EBS if required by site. Polish and English language skills are required. Rotation will be aligned on the project, such as 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off or 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off.
