RWE Americas is hiring a full-time, permanent Solar Farm Technician II in Thorndale, Texas. The role involves preventative and corrective maintenance for an operating solar power plant, including civil, mechanical, and electrical inspection and repair. Responsibilities include testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar PV electrical and mechanical equipment; performing electrical testing; completing safety and work documentation; supporting balance-of-plant and switchyard work; monitoring contractors; collecting data; preparing reports; and assisting with site operations, emergencies, and mobile equipment use. The position is field-based and may require travel, shift work, nights, weekends, holidays, and work in extreme weather conditions. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, preferred associate degree, relevant maintenance or power generation experience, solar O&M experience preferred, strong electrical and safety knowledge, an unrestricted driver’s license, and First Aid/CPR/AED and OSHA certification.
