About the role
Lead Engineer - Energy Control Systems for AVANGRID Energy Control Systems (ECS) supporting gas distribution operations. Responsibilities include SCADA database and telemetry management, RTU configuration, software testing and commissioning, control system specification and design support, and commissioning of PACs/RTUs and related instrumentation at gas gate and distribution stations. The role involves working in a Control Center environment, supporting cybersecurity requirements, maintaining documentation for regulatory compliance, and providing troubleshooting and operational assistance. Additional duties include analyzing gas transmission and distribution systems, interpreting engineering documentation, configuring and testing RTUs, supporting databases and networking, developing business cases for system enhancements, mentoring engineers, and collaborating across departments. The position is on site five days a week in Vestal, NY.
