A leading renewable energy Independent Power Producer is seeking an experienced Senior Grid Manager to support the development and delivery of a growing portfolio of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System projects across the UK. Reporting to the Head of Development, the role leads grid connection activities from origination through energisation, managing relationships with NESO, DNOs, TOs, ICPs, and other external stakeholders. The position involves leading grid connection strategy, securing and managing connection offers, supporting technical assessments, managing applications and agreements, monitoring UK grid reforms, conducting capacity analysis, overseeing consultants, and supporting financing and project delivery. Requirements include a degree in a relevant discipline and extensive experience in grid connections, power systems, renewable energy, BESS, or utility infrastructure, with strong knowledge of UK grid processes and stakeholder management. Desirable experience includes utility-scale BESS development, power flow studies, connection design, grid modelling, and transmission and distribution connected projects.
