About the role
The Green Recruitment Company is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support environmental permitting and development activities for Solar and Onshore wind projects in Italy. Responsibilities include preparing and managing environmental permitting documentation at local, regional, and national levels; developing EIA/VIA and screening reports; ensuring environmental compliance during development, construction, and operation; using GIS tools to identify suitable areas for new renewable projects; assessing environmental and landscape constraints; coordinating specialist studies; evaluating project compatibility with planning instruments; conducting site inspections; maintaining documentation; and liaising with authorities and external consultants. Requirements include a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or similar, 5+ years of experience in environmental permitting for wind/PV projects, strong knowledge of Italian environmental regulations and EIA/VIA processes, proficiency in GIS tools, MS Office, and basic AutoCAD, plus strong autonomy, attention to detail, teamwork skills, and willingness to travel.
