About the role

International wind energy company seeking a Mechanical Components Engineer to support localization and technical qualification of key wind turbine components in China. The role serves as the local technical specialist for components such as couplings, shrink discs, elastomers, and related drivetrain parts, working with suppliers and internal engineering teams. Responsibilities include supporting component development and localization, ensuring suppliers meet technical specifications and validation requirements, coordinating with quality, sourcing, and material management teams, supporting production on assembly, testing, validation, and quality issues, participating in root-cause analysis and 8D investigations, and supporting supplier qualification, technical reviews, and homologation activities. Requirements include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, 5+ years of engineering experience in the wind industry, strong knowledge of wind turbine drivetrain or rotating equipment components, supplier development or technical validation experience, and fluency in Mandarin and English.
