About the role
RWE Americas is hiring a full-time, permanent Manager, Business Development West in Oakland, CA. The role leads portfolio optimization activities and materials for the regional development team, communicates progress to executive leadership, maintains project data quality, and supports strategy by coordinating across developers, commercial analysis, power marketing, and interconnection teams. Responsibilities include leading M&A evaluation and new market development, preparing materials for strategic decisions and internal approvals, developing reports and dashboards, identifying market trends and risks, coordinating budgeting and forecasting, and implementing tools, standards, and best practices across the development organization. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree, preferably an M.S. in Data Science, Energy Policy, or Finance, at least 5 years of renewable energy development experience, and strong leadership, communication, organization, and Microsoft Office skills. The role is office-based with some travel. Salary range in California: $140,000 to $180,000 annually.
