About the role

Full-time fixed-term Year in Industry Operations Engineering placement at Sofia Offshore Windfarm in Grimsby, starting in July 2027. The role is site-based in an offshore wind operations environment and focuses on operations engineering support, including statutory and annual campaigns, readiness activities, warranty defect close-out, end-of-life and life-extension studies, major component exchanges, and day-to-day offshore wind farm operations. Applicants should be studying Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related combined engineering discipline and be eligible for a year-in-industry placement. Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently, coordinate workloads, meet deadlines, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders are required. Travel to other sites may be needed. The role may require National Security Vetting to SC level. Training, mentoring, and a Global Wind Organisation certificate are included.
