It also involves verifying materials and traceability documentation, witnessing mechanical and electrical testing, validating performance of M&E installations, inspecting supports and access systems, reporting non-conformances, supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions, and reviewing manufacturing records, ITPs, and fabrication drawings. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline, extensive experience in offshore substation mechanical outfitting and electrical installation, prior QA/QC or inspection experience in an offshore fabrication or EPC yard, and strong knowledge of offshore manufacturing and fabrication standards such as ISO, EN, DNV, and IEC.
