Wind Turbine Technician opening with Avangrid Power supporting onsite operations, maintenance, repairs, and replacement of equipment at a wind powered generation plant. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining wind turbine equipment and associated infrastructure, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, performing preventive maintenance, completing data collection and reporting, carrying out retrofits and design modifications, and supporting QA/QC and commissioning walk-downs as needed. The role requires working overtime, on-call availability, travel to other sites, duties around low, medium, and high voltage, and work in adverse weather conditions. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, technical school or related experience/training, familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment, advanced computer skills, ability to climb towers up to 100 meters, and ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
