Wind Turbine Technician opening in Lempster, NH. Responsibilities include onsite operations, maintenance, repairs, and replacement of equipment at a wind powered generation plant, as well as support for plant operations. Duties include operating and maintaining wind turbine equipment and associated infrastructure, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems, performing component repair or replacement, following environmental health and safety programs, performing preventive maintenance, preparing reports, carrying out retrofits and design modifications, and supporting construction walk-downs when applicable. The role may require overtime, holidays, weekends, on-call work, travel to other sites, and work around low, medium, and high voltage in adverse weather conditions. Required qualifications include a one-year college or technical school certificate, or 12 months of related experience or wind industry training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a high school diploma or GED. Applicants should have familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment, advanced computer skills, the ability to climb towers up to 100 meters, lift heavy items, work with electrical wires, follow instructions, solve practical problems, and understand crane and rigging requirements. A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required. Preferred qualifications include experience in power plant operations and maintenance, wind and solar plant construction, operation, and maintenance, and high voltage switching. Offers are contingent upon completion of medical, background, reference, and drug screening, and other applicable checks.
