Mechanical Project Engineer contract role based at Wormington Compressor Station in Gloucestershire, supporting the safe and efficient delivery of complex engineering projects across oil and gas, power generation, and petrochemical sectors. Responsibilities include multidiscipline engineering coordination, technical interface management, project planning and controls, engineering change processes, procurement of equipment packages, quality and safety assurance, client and contractor liaison, construction and commissioning support through to handover, and contribution to risk management and process safety deliverables. The role requires experience across FEED, detailed design, plant upgrade projects, fabrication, FAT, installation, pre-commissioning, and handover, with knowledge of pressure systems, valves, instrumentation, heat exchangers, and packaged mechanical equipment, plus support for HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL assessments to IEC 61511 standards.
