Avangrid Power is seeking a Wind Turbine Technician to perform onsite operations, maintenance, repairs, and equipment replacement at a wind powered generation plant in Sarita, Texas. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining wind turbine equipment and associated infrastructure, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, performing preventive maintenance, completing data collection and reporting, carrying out retrofits and design modifications, and supporting QA/QC and commissioning walk-downs as needed. The role may involve overtime, on-call work, travel to other sites, and work in low-, medium-, and high-voltage environments as well as adverse weather conditions. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, relevant technical education or experience, familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment, strong computer skills, the ability to climb towers and lift heavy items, a valid driver's license, and an acceptable driving record.
