RWE Americas is seeking a Development Director, Utility-Scale Development - Central Region in Chicago, Illinois. This full-time, permanent role is a senior individual contributor responsible for initiating, developing, and acquiring utility-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects in the United States and Canada. The position leads complex projects and cross-functional teams from greenfielding through start of construction and supports projects through commercial operation. Responsibilities include managing the full project lifecycle, project budgets and schedules, due diligence, permitting, interconnection, engineering, preconstruction, negotiations, investment recommendations, and support for construction and commercial operation. The role requires at least 11 years of relevant experience, including 4 years of utility-scale wind, solar, or battery storage development experience in the United States.
