Avangrid Power is seeking a Wind Turbine Technician to support onsite operations, maintenance, repairs, and equipment replacement at a wind-powered generation plant in Arlington, OR. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining wind turbine equipment and associated infrastructure, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, performing preventive maintenance, carrying out repairs and retrofits, completing QA/QC documentation, and supporting construction and commissioning walk-downs when needed. The role may involve overtime, on-call work, short-notice travel, duties around low, medium, and high voltage, and work in adverse weather conditions. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, plus either one year of college or technical school, 12 months of related experience or wind industry training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should have familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment, advanced computer skills, the ability to climb towers up to 100 meters, lift up to 100 pounds, and a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Preferred qualifications include experience in power plant operations and maintenance, wind and solar plant construction and maintenance, and high voltage switching.
