About the role
An internationally recognised engineering and advisory organisation is seeking a Renewable Energy Engineer to join its growing team supporting the energy transition across Africa. The role involves working on utility-scale wind, solar PV, battery energy storage (BESS), and hydro projects, providing technical advisory services to developers, lenders, investors, utilities, and project owners. Responsibilities include technical advisory and due diligence assignments, feasibility studies, design reviews, owner's/independent engineering services, contract and technical document review, client reporting, site visits, inspections, construction monitoring, and support for business development and proposals. The position requires a relevant engineering degree, 2-10 years of industry experience, strong knowledge of utility-scale wind, solar, hydro, and/or BESS projects, and excellent report writing, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Willingness to travel locally and internationally is required.
