About the role
Wind Turbine Technician opening supporting onsite operations, maintenance, repairs, and equipment replacement at a wind powered generation plant. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining wind turbine equipment and associated infrastructure, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, performing component repair or replacement, following OEM maintenance manuals, supporting preventive maintenance, preparing reports, conducting QA/QC functions, and assisting with construction walk-downs when applicable. The role may require overtime, on-call work, short-notice travel, work around low, medium, and high voltage, and work in adverse weather conditions. Required qualifications include a technical school certificate or related wind industry experience, a high school diploma or GED, familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment, advanced computer skills, ability to climb towers up to 100 meters, lift heavy items, interpret instructions and diagrams, and a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Preferred qualifications include power plant operations and maintenance experience, wind and solar construction or maintenance experience, high voltage switching experience, and related electrical and mechanical experience.
