About the role

UTM Consultants are seeking a Control Engineer in Poland for a 15-month contract. The role is responsible for coordinating LV/MV/HV operations, providing operational advice on high-voltage electrical installations for wind turbines, offshore substations, and HV submarine and onshore cables. Duties include overseeing electrical operational activities, planning switching activities onshore and offshore, monitoring SCADA, maintaining activity logs, controlling Electrical Safety Rules documentation, managing HV and LV operations, defining safety procedures, overseeing commissioning of grid connections and substations, ensuring code compliance, carrying out QA against ISO requirements, reviewing the high-voltage scope of work, developing reference documentation and processes, coordinating commissioning activities, preparing switching schedules, checking method statements, delivering training, supporting safety coordination, managing outages, and taking responsibility for MV/HV switching and isolations. The role requires several years of operational and commissioning experience in high-voltage electricity, offshore experience preferred, an appropriate electrical qualification, and at least 3 years of experience with onshore substation systems. Rotation will be aligned with the project and may be 2 weeks on/2 weeks off, 4 weeks on/4 weeks off, or similar.
