RWE Americas, LLC is hiring a full-time, permanent Substation Maintenance Specialist II for operations and maintenance work on wind farm electrical systems. The role involves routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on substation and collection system components; complex troubleshooting; high-voltage switching and grounding; diagnostic testing; compliance documentation; and coordination with contractors and vendors. The position requires travel up to 30% and travel to RWE North American sites as needed. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, preferably a 2- or 4-year degree in a technical hard science field, at least 4 years of operations and/or maintenance experience in power generation, transmission, or distribution, and knowledge of substation equipment, relaying, testing, and safe work practices around energized equipment.
