Year in Industry Operations Engineering placement at Sofia Offshore Windfarm in Grimsby. Full-time, fixed-term role for 13 months starting in July 2027. Site-based within RWE Offshore Wind’s operations function, focusing on operations engineering for an offshore wind farm. Responsibilities include supporting operational campaigns, readiness activities, warranty defect close-out, end-of-life and life-extension studies, major component exchanges, and day-to-day wind farm activities. Candidates should be studying Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related combined engineering discipline, and be eligible for a year-in-industry placement. Strong written and verbal communication, independent workload coordination, teamwork, and willingness to travel to other sites are required. Role may require National Security Vetting to SC level and at least five years’ residence in the UK. Training includes a Global Wind Organisation certificate, Wind Turbine Safety Rules training, and in-house technical training.
